Gropius House - Lincoln, MA

As an employee of Historic New England, I am privileged to lead tours of the historic home designed by influential German architect, Walter Gropius - founder of the legendary Bauhaus school (1919 - 1933). Located in Lincoln, MA, the house is a unique blend of European Modernism and traditional New England building techniques. With its minimalist aesthetic, unique layout, and stunning collection of early-mid 20th century art and furniture, the Gropius house is a globally-important architectural gem. The tours explore each room of the house, discussing personal histories, the Bauhaus, and the art and design of the period.

Tours can be booked through Historic New England at their homepage.
